Fullscreen gaming on Tv

Ok here is the deal, I got the graphics card in my sig and when I hook up my tv using the s-video cable I can get movies (via vlc media player) to play in fullscreen but if I try to use a emulator or PC game in fullscreen on my tv it reverts back to my actual pc monitor?
Anyways is there any reg setting or fix i can do to make it go fullscreen on my tv instead of switching it back to my monitor?

Edit: Btw I have it setup as dual-view. If that help any

Well, you can either set it up so the tv clones the monitor's image, or just set up the tv as the main screen. That'll do it.

See I would do that but the problem is my monitor uses a much higher res then my TV so I have to lower my monitor setting which I didnt want to do.

nVidia used to have an option to allow full screen on a second monitor as well but it seems they took it off due to a bit a research

Anyways thanks for the help

You would have to set the TV as primary display to get games to run on it. Or use some manner of display management software which I don't have much experience with.

Actually they did.. read this and see what I mean..
NVIDIA Forums > Displaying video full screen on secondary display

You are right as on clone it will work but nVidia used to have an option when set to dual-view to allow second monitor full screen but not no more.

seriously though thanks for the ideas

Edit: let me get some snippets from that website cause thats alot of reading

Nvidia support answered to me this:

Understand from your email that you are using a GeForce 8800 GTS graphics card and now with the new NVIDIA Control panel, you are unable to achieve fullscreen overlay on TV.

With Geforce 8 Series graphics GPU's, the Full Screen Video Mirror function in the NVIDIA Control Panel is not available.

This control is intentionally disabled because Full Screen Video Mirror is not supported on GeForce 8 series GPUs. However, this function may be added with the future driver updates.
Oh and I didnt know this before I posted or else I wouldnt have posted

Don't use fullscreen mirroring then. The drivers have no problems at all with displaying games in fullscreen, when you know how to set the driver up properly.

your Standard Definition TV can't support Higher Resolutions, so it won't do any good to have a higher resolution on it.

unless your TV says "EDTV" = enhanced definition TV
which has a higher resolution.

or if your TV is and HDTV... which i'm guessing its not.
