Well, Nero burns the files without errors. That's about all I can judge data burning by. I imagine people will come in here and start talking about how Nero is bloated, and how another program will save them 1mb of ram or some other insignificance.

Nero is better than everyone else. Its a well known brand in India. It has numerous options . I agree with Exodus, Nero is the best. Try it and see for yourself.

For authoring
Nero
VSO ( VSO: burning softs for your nads ;p )
CD Burner XP ( CDBurnerXP: Introduction and News )

For duplication/burning
ImgBurn. Don't even bother looking for anything else. ( The Official ImgBurn Website )
Alcohol 120%

Don't bother listing all the slightly known burning apps, these ones are plainly the best.
Thread over ;p

Get the latest version of course. I prefer nero express over nero burning rom and burning CDs at less speeds.

You can try the apps Rikki listed also.

Aren't they basically the same expect for GUI differences? I imagine they both use the same burning core.

Nero is the best imo. Great for everything disc creation related. Good for converting movie files to DVD or mp3s to CD also. The movie converting process can take a while though, but all of mine turned out good.

They do both use the same core. Just that Nero Burning Rom is what you would usually find when you clicked on an advanced or classic button and Nero Express is more of a Wizard or Express (hence the name) option
