Uncompressing AVi Files

I encoded my AVI files for the fact of how much space they take up on my computer. Is there any way I could uncompress them back again to bring back the original state of my video

You can burn them onto your DVD. (that's what I do to my AVI files)

Lost details cannot be recovered. If it was compressed already, just leave it at that.
If filesize mattersmost for you, you couldve given the MSU lossless codec a try (definitely superior to huffyuv)
