i don't like them cuz you can't edit them, but at least the program works...

Duh, I have that problem just now: I want to modify some pictures on a .pdf (wich is actually only made of scans) so I've tried with 'illustrator' but it won't let me do a thing.
Strangely the .pdf doesn't seem to be protected... Wtf ?

Send the pdf to me in a PM and I'll see if I can figure it out. I usually don't have a problem importing pdfs into Illustrator (I do that to steal vector logos from pdfs
) and I would be interested to see why it won't work.

Adobe Acrobat costs plenty $$....I think on my of german demo+full version discs may have had an old version on it though...I should reinstall it.
You can't modify a PDF while without it...that's just the way the format is designed.... And rockman...downloading has nothing to do with viewing....

I hate adobe reader (I haven't successfully found an alternative though). The default reader for the mac is quite nice though.

TheCloudofSmoke,
I think i will get Foxit Reader but thanks for reply as well. ![]() Schumi, I didnt say about downloading and the viewing. Adode loads big document slower and Foxit loads it much faster from what I was told.

I agree with you Rockmanforte: open documents more faster than acrobat reader, take less place on the hard drive (130 Mb for adobe an 4Mb for foxit!).Well Foxit got my preference too.
