Try this one then: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service.
The problem isn't so much the TV card getting a high resolution, as it is a problem recording at a high resolution. I don't have an LCD monitor, so I can work with lower resolutions.

Please just send it through yousendit, cause I can't download anything from there either...something to do with my service provider. But if you for some reason don't want to reveal your email add, then try Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire. As for the high resolution issue, I want to know what's the biggest resolution a TV card can handle, since I'm not going to record at 640X480 sizes. It's still too small in my opinion.

Try this then: sample.avi

Using dscaler to play games through, it looks as though the highest resolution is 1024x768.

Okay! I managed to get your file, after your numerous attempts at uploading to 2 previous sites...sorry for the trouble. By the way...what's dscaler? So you connect your PS2 to your TV card and just play from your PC's monitor? What TV card model do you use?

Dscaler (DScaler - TV & Video Deinterlacer) is basically an alternative to whatever software your TV tuner would come with. It has some added stuff like deinterlacing and video filters.

So, you'll be hooking up the PS2 to the TV card, and running dscaler to view the video. The sound will always be "on" as it's heard through "line-in" (at least with my config).

And a side note, I wouldn't worry too much about the resolution capabilities. Don't forget the majority of PS2 games are 480p (640x480), and half can also do 16:9. Forcing a higher resolution would only stretch everything out. To get higher quality, you'd have to use something like PCSX2 to run the game.

Oh, okay...unfortunately PCSX2 can't run Valkyrie Profile Silmeria, the one game that I've been trying so hard to record. With a high resolution of course. I've seen high res screenshots of the game before, and just how is that possible? If PCSX2 can't play it...and a TV card can't get such a resolution...

I read a long time ago that there's some sort of method out there that can reroute the raw video output from a PS2 BEFORE it gets ****tified by PS2's bad resolution. I don't know the details on it, but I believe that's what those big review companies.

Uploading on youtube encodes the video in lower quality flv. Even if the video was lossless AVI. You can upload on freedrive or something for better results.

Though, I am not sure.

Most streaming sites reduce video quality to garbage. Best way is to upload to those data servers like I used with yurecia.

I was surprisingly able to find it easily.
GameSpot:Video Games PC Xbox 360 PS3 Wii PSP DS PS2 PlayStation 2 GameCube GBA PlayStation 3

Here's the important bit:
Quote:
Just about all the picture-perfect screenshots that you find on GameSpot are given to us directly by developers or publishers. You see, the only way to get these quality screenshots is take snap them directly from the system's frame buffer using some type of application that can tap into it. Developers and publishers are able to tap into the frame buffer directly when playing games with their development kit, which usually has a utility on it specifically for taking screenshots from a game. The screenshots are directly saved to the hard drive on the development kit, and from there they are sent to GameSpot for us to display. (It's worth noting that sometimes publishers and developers "clean them up" a bit in Photoshop, but I'll avoid naming names.)

My gosh...so that's why my videos are blurry when I capture them using my DVD recorder...I thought it was sucky or something like that...Strange thing though is that it plays back in absolute perfection on TV...>_>

I imagine that's mainly because it's designed to play on a TV. A PC operates at higher resolutions and refresh rates, so things can look odd.

Ah, that's really sad. I guess I gotta wait for the PSCX2 to be able to play Valkyrie Profile Silmeria before I can get high resolution shots from it.xD Thank you so much for all your help too=]

It's rare that I find a topic that I know a decent amount about, so glad to help.
