Self PC recording software

I'm looking for software that records me using the computer so I can make pc tutorials. Can somebody help me out?

AutoScreenRecorder Free, I don't think it captures sound though....and it skips a few frames...

if you're recording a game, use FRAPS
but you can only record 1 minute of video unless you buy it...

Another one that's supposed to be good is camstudio.

Debut and CamStudio were slow, at least for my machine. Tried several codecs without any improvements.

Deput had also one minus: installation. It didn't ask where to install and made unnecessary Start-menu folders.

CamStudio's audio capture was harder to config. You just can't go to preferences and set it to record "What U Hear"-option (if you have a Sound Blaster).

Fraps has very good gaming video capture, but it didn't work for desktop. Speed was great and quality was fine. Only fault is that you have to buy full version to get all out of it.

If you're on Vista the latest version of FRAPS supports recording from the desktop since it uses DirectX:
