I just visited fMSX homepages and I believe that the emulator can use same tape, rom and disk-images as other emulators. Have you tried?
And just make sure that you own original legitimate copies of all the software you need. Otherwise it's piracy and Emuforums would not tolerate that. It's of course different, if it's about free programs and games. I have imported old tapes via sound card with a software, which is developed for that purpose and it worked really fine. I suggest you to try same, if Mac has similar programs to Korth's Tape2HDD, or if you can use those via Windows emulator.
