RivaTuner problem.

I have the latest RivaTuner, but it seems like it is doing nothing but running in task bar lol. Video card temperatures stay the same. I have a ATI Radeon 2600XT. Maybe it is my card, or am I doing something wrong? I tried making the fan run 100% speed to hear a sound difference. But can't. It idles at 31 degrees Celsius and get as high as 48 when playing a game. I would rather have mor enoise and lower temperatures, then no videocard at all.

That's fine for GPUs...they can get very very hot...mine runs on 90 degrees celcius when playing a game and idles at 50 (and that's with fan maxed at 100%)

For an ATI card you may want to use ATITool by the way (not ATI Tray Tools).

I tried installing that ATITool. But it gave me some error. Did I need to uninstall CCC and RivaTuner before it?
Edit: Going from RivaTuner to ATITool showed me 2 things. ATIToll sucks, and that RivaTuner did work. ATITool brought my videocard temperature to 60degrees. and It wouldn't idle under 53. Without RivaTuner my PC idled at 41. And as I said in previous post, it idles at 31 with RivaTuner. And ATITool was saying my Videocard fan wasn't even running...

Well it has not been updated in a while...so I guess it was some sort of incompatibilty like a card that's too new or maybe it's the 64bit thing...but it most certainly does not suck.

I couldn't configure the profiles in Rivatuner to increase fan speed on my card either... Maybe I just it wrong, or maybe my system really DOESNT want my card to run in manual instead of automatic settings... (which seems the case all the time).

But really, 60C is nothing I'd say. My card idle at that temperature, goes up to 90-100C when playing.

does Rivatuner (a program made with nvidia cards in mind) ever properly support ATI cards?
