Everything Is Crashing!!!

Hi folks.Just 2 weeks ago,98% of the programs on my computer started to crash.I couldn't use my MSN,windows media player-(and all other programs for videos),internet explorer,C# language, nero start smart.......and so on............in short nothing on my laptop wasn't working. And just before 2 days I noticed why all that was happening. In the system tray I had 2 programs running. And that are FRAPS and ZD Soft Game Recorder. They are both recording the game play.I turned OFF the FRAPS and restarted my computer. After this everything was working normal.I tried the contrary way...I turned OFF the ZD Soft Game Recorder, turned ON the FRAPS,restarted my computer and again everything was working normal.BUT if they are BOTH turned ON on system startup then everything is crashing.I mean EVERYTHING.I can't even restart my computer and the there aren't any crashes like "This program is not responding...".I reinstalled my operating system and again I can't have them both on without crashes. Before I did and everything was normal.Does anyone maybe know the cause of this???

They're both system loading programs?... Ingame video recorders takes a buncha system resources up, and if you're using them both at the same time with a laptop, it's no surprise you're system starts locking up.

P.S.
This should be in the hardware or software forum.

aside from the "program is not responding" thing do you get any other error messages?

edit- did you assign the programs to the startup under an administrator account? you might be getting the lockup if the system is trying to access them on startup under an account other than an administrators.

well then its possible the two programs just have a confliction with one another on some level and there isnt anything you can really do about it aside from removing one or both of them from the startup. what happens when you open both programs manually instead of letting the system startup take care of it?

Sounds like your running out of memory or your laptop has a virus. Try to pinpoint the exact time it happens and what exactly you are doing when it occurs (ie. what programs you have running)

I second MiretanK's question.

Simple answers. Virus or memory. If its memory, i advise you to dump 1 of the programs.
