Is there a way to use NTSC game save in a PAL game?
Hello guys, I was playing until recently the NTSC/US version of FFXII. I got really annoyed with the video problem and I heard that if you played the PAL version of the game the videos would play fine. So there i went and bought the PAL/UK version.. It's a really hard task to buy original games in Brazil. Takes time and it's always very expensive. Well, to my surprise, I can't use my old saves on the PAL game, and save states wont work either. Could anyone give me a hand? I'm quite disapointed to have spent so much money =(

PAL and NTSC saves aren't usually interchangable since the game's usually different in some way. Except someone found a way with FFX but I haven't tried it - don't need to, and I think it's ffx only

There is a way to do it as I successfully converted my NTSC saves to PAL about a year ago. Download the program uLaunchELF and run it, you'll be able to see all the files that are on the memory card. See all the folders that start with BASLUS-20963FF12? Those are your FF12 saves. The BASLUS-20963 is the code for the US version of FF12. If you rename those and the files within them to start with BASLES-54354FF12 then you might be able to run them using the PAL version ... although it's been a long time since I did it so that might not be exactly correct. |
