I'm not sure if I've deleted anything, but I'm getting the blackscreen on no$gba 2.6a using np$zoomer.
The firmware is what you see when you turn on your DS, that menu that you see then. The only way of getting it permitted by the this forum is dumping it from your DS.
Any talk of other ways of obtaining it is strictly NOT allowed on this forum and if I see anyone providing a link or mentioning a place you can get it then they will be getting an infraction. You have been warned people.

I see. Thanks. Is it acceptable to ask how this firmware can be applied to use for no$gba? Like in what folder it should be placed in, etc? (If it's even possible.)

Once you have obtained it from your DS just place it the no$gba folder. If you want to actually load through the firmware then you need to encrypt the games first (using eNDryptS or NDSTool). In order to load through the firmware you have to change the startup/entrypoint in the options of no$gba to BIOS or something like that (basically switch it the the option other than Start cartridge directly).
IF other games suddenly show up in other languages (and english game starting in spanish for instance) then it will be the fault of the firmware you downloaded rather than dumped from your DS (cuz if you had dumped it then you would obviously have set it to your preferred language before dumping it).

Thanks. So just to be clear, I have to encrypt the game in order for the game to make use of the firmware, and I can't simply just put it in the folder to make the game work, is that right?
I'll try to look into the eNDryptS and NDSTool programs then and see how it can be done. Thanks.

No, you only have to encrypt the game if you want to load it from the firmware, otherwise just having it in your folder is enough.

Oh I see. And what is the difference between making the game load through the firmware or not, if you don't mind explaining?

Nothing as far as I know. Just preference I guess...and it used to be the best way of loading games...these days it's no longer necessary though

Alright, thanks for the explanations. I'll see if I can give it a shot, otherwise I'll just play it on my DS instead.

~Edit~
I tried it with the firmware bios now, and it worked like a charm.

cranezAo, what's the speed on Phantom Hourglass like? How does it compare to that of a real DS?

Depends strongly on your system specs. I've read about people playing it at 100% and more (and that was before No$Zoomer), while I'm stuck at under 50% with sound on, around 75% with sound off.

I get to play it with 100% speed though. Using no$zoomer. But I didn't need to use all the EX options turned on. Just the 0 and 5 options.
