final fantasy 10 performance

Hey
I've got a 7900 GT, Athlon 64 3700+ and 1.5g of RAM.

Using GSdx9 0.10.0 i get about 20-30 fps in the opening cut scenes with Linear texture filtering and Deinterlace enabled. This is too slow.

I've tried using ZeroGS KOSMOS 0.97 with VU skipping, Interlace Enabled and Bilinear Filtering off, and that gets me about 50-60 fps but I cant bear the jitteryness of VU skipping. Without VU skipping it's pretty much the same as above.

The 0.9.5 emu doesn't make a difference.

My question is, with the specs of my comp, is there a config that will allow me to get decent, playable (40+) fps without having it in lego-mode?

Thanks.

Doubtful. Your CPU is your real weak point, Grapics cards only matter say, 30%, 70% of performance is CPU based, especially with Multi-cores. a Dual core is recommended.

there's no chance that you can pass over 30fps with that cpu. With me, to attain full speed in ffx I need a core 2 duo 2.4ghz or an amd x2 5200+

You can try overclocking, but don't expect full speed...on that cpu.
