rotk 6 getting it to work

Okay so I bought rotk6(ps1 game) from my friend and made it into a iso file(off the cd) using MagicIso. My friend told me they have ps1 emulators that can play the game on the pc(I dont own a ps1). So I found this emulator(Epsxe) and follow the configurating instructions. I load the game or run iso with the Epsxe, it would go full screen and just go pitch black and nothing happens(no image, no sound, nothing) what did I do wrong?
