Help With Final Fantasy Tactics plz ?

Aparaently reviving threads from 7 years ago isn't the hip thing to do to save space on servers. Alright just kidding.

But, anyway, I have downloaded the newest version of ePSXe and are using the current plugins
-SpuEternal and Eternal lite
-padHellMM
-gpuPeteOpengl2
-gpuPeopsSoft
( note : i'm using an ISO file to run tactics ... and it doesn't seem to want to run without the peopsSoft... )

My computer is ...
A Dell dimesion e521
AMD athlon dual core 4600
and are using a Radeon 1300/1500X series card ...

The game will run, but i'm getting no response from either a keyboard or usb controller even after I am configuring them. And the sound does not work. I do not care about the sound. But I would like to know if i'm just being an idiot when configuring or if I have inproperly used the config for setting up my keyboard and such. i'm a Noob at PS emulators and have played with SNES emulators alittle. Any help would be appriciated ! Thankyou

can you post the video settings you are trying to use with those plugins? it should run on plugins other than the software one, so either your hardware doesnt support it, which i doubt, or you are using settings that it doesnt work well with, which is more than likely to be the case here. i noticed you are using an ATI card, i recommend you avoid use of any openGL based plugin if you being to experience very bad graphical glitches. lately the drivers for ATI cards have been the latest fad in crapware and they have horrible support for openGL rendering.

for sound, try seeing if it works when running it directly from the cd. if that doesnt show anything post the settings you are using for your current sound plugin.

as for the control, make sure it is set to "digital/analog" in the top right hand corner of the control configuration menu.

ok ... well i'm sorry ... the thing was defaulting to a multitap configuration that was messing the whole thing up. The game runs fine and the controls work. i havne't gone too far besides name making but from what i hear the map is glitchy but that shoudn't bother me ... thankyou for trying to help and that ePSXe configuration was helpful Redlion.

you are refering to the black map glitch? there are ways to fix that, if you search the epsxe section im pretty sure you should find a thread or two that can show you how to do it if you do end up getting that glitch.
