game not working

Hi all,

I just installed pcsx2, put in my bios, and tried to open shadow of the colossus in image form, and in the output window everything seems to be OK, yet when it tries to boot ZeroGS, the emu crashes, without any errors...happen to anyone?

Ok, I got it to Almost run the game, but it does give me an error message...im using pcsx2t.exe since I have an athlon xp.

You could see if the game is on the compatibility list. You could also try GSdx.

The Athlon XPs aren't so great for PCSX2. They don't have SSE2, which is a big thing with the emulator, so you need to run the non VM version. Also, I'm going to go ahead and assume your GPU isn't even up to par either, so having no PS2 support is going to even further cut down your FPS. And lastly, Shadow of the Colossusis listed as in game, so even if you did get it running, you'll eventually run into a problem that won't let you get very far.

That, or the more sensible thing is playing it on your PS2?...

If you have the means of upgrading, by all means, you should. I had a similar system like yours, AMD 2500+ XP, 9600XT....but that was like 6 years ago .

You have a budget in mind ?
