Pixel perfect texture placement. The background is divided into stripes, each drawn on its own. Having more pixel than intended messes up the placement the programmers figured was the best for SH1.

Is it just me or does taking screens with F8 not work anymore with 1.13? It works with 1.12.

And if it is just me, what could be the problem and how can I fix it?

Any hope of developing a brute force hack to fix this? I'd attempt a patch but my knowledge of GSDX's infastructure is limited.

It's a very game specific problem, and not worth the time required imo.
Why not play in dx9 mode? I fiddled with the resolutions a bit and it was fine then.

Last time I tried it, the only way it would work is if it's set on DX9 with native resolution. Anything higher than native caused the stripes to appear. Even though it works fine and dandy, it would be nice to be able to play it on higher internal resolutions.

Any word on why screenshots don't work with 1.13? At least not the way it does with 1.12 by pressing F8. Has the button been changed?

Hi gabest, could you please tell me what's the meaning of the file "GSDrawScanlines.cpp"

I'm speaking about :

2062 InitDS_Sel(0x1fe84064); // 15.82%
2063 InitDS_Sel(0x1fe84864); // 16.96%
2064 InitDS_Sel(0x488a8064); // 20.47%
2065 InitDS_Sel(0x488e9065); // 19.88%

There appears to be some sort of problem with the latest revision.

Today i tried playing Tales of the Abyss with GSDX 0.1.13 revision 886, and the graphics were all messed up. However, it plays fine with GSDX 0.1.13 revision 884 (sadly i do not have 885 for further testing).

Here are some screenshots and the rest of my settings:

with GSDX 0.1.13 revision 884

Confirmed. I've tried DBZ: BT2 with the latest revision (886) and graphics are all messed up except the FMV.

Only sse2/3 builds were broken a bit, I don't test them too much :P

Which revision got haunting ground right the last time?

AndreaB: Those are the optimized almost branch-less variants of the software "pixel shader" function, the number is a bitmask, encodes the fields of GSScanlineSelector, a struct just can't be used as a template parameter, so I replaced it with a DWORD. % means how much of one frame's time the unoptimized version uses on my machine, if they (variants that belong to a certain frame) exceed 100% then full fps is not possible. Many games cheat though, only render every second frame, those aren't interlaced at least. I have measured this percentage in order to remove everything under 5%. Previously everything was included, they just made the dll big and not helped much.

Maybe 'cause all Intel GPU integrated cards are crap? Try NVIDIA or AMD ATI, and you'll see some changes.
