First, awesome work on the new version (and so on...) I have a quick question about the GUI. I couldn't find the answer myself or maybe I just overlooked something, but how do you properly go to the menu and back to the game if it's already running? The GUI and video window are also seperated. I know there was a reason for this, was it because of the speed of the emulator? Do you also recommend to not switch plugins when a game is already running? Maybe an idea to grey out the plugin parts, because this can lead to instability (at least, here it does).

To switch to menu from game press Esc. Do not change plugins whle a game is running. To return to game goto Run in the menus then Execute. It should continue no problem. Hope this helps.

This drove me crazy initially too, but now that I'm done (for the moment) with tweaking the emulator to get the "perfect" settings, I don't really mess with the interface much while playing. The only things I still find I need are changing skipping on the fly, loading and saving, and all of those can be done with the F keys. Hopefully, you'll find yourself in the same situation soon too. PS - if the game window is getting in the way, you can always manually resize it without going into the menu at all. I've found playing in maximized, as opposed to full screen loses a tiny bit of immersion, but with the benefit of a resizable window if I need to do something on the desktop. |

To be honest, I'm hoping for a GUI rewrite there a bit. This doesn't mean that I won't be using the current one, thanks for the suggestions there.

You should only get the open ISO window when you don't have the CDVD plugin configured to open a particular ISO. Just configure that, and it should go away.
