Never, ever, ever, let Windows install graphics card driver's for you. There's a reason why ATI and nVidia make their own drivers.

Well no...more like because Microsoft have no clue how graphics cards actually work...and therefore can only unlock about as much potential in a card as if it were some Intel onboard crap.

But if you install the driver from manufacturers, it will work...
My VGA card is ATI Radeon 9200, whose driver is automatically installed by Vista...
I must uninstall it and install the driver for XP... And finally NDS2xgl runs fine...
i guess that the same for nvidia... but those of have that white screen probabily have the same problem with other OpenGL programs as well, i will try using the Internal XP driver in the other computer to see if i will get the problem =)

MySoft, regardless of the hardwares vendor, if you're using the built in XP or Vista driver, you will not have an OpenGL ICD, as these are stripped from the driver before they are sent to ms to be put on the disk, why this is i don't know, Microsoft are probably still touchy on the subject that OpenGL out classes it, and the only reason why more don't use it is because its a little more complex to use then the evil DirectX

This in turn falls back to using the OpenGL 1.0/1.1 ICD installed with windows (opengl32.dll) vendor specific icd's have a part of the owners name in them usually.. etc nvoglnt.dll and atiogl.dll

hell you can even use all of the features of Dx10 on XP using OpenGL (Geometry shading included!)

Probably a silly question, but then again I don't know much about this plugin. Is there anyway to Zoom in anymore? Or is it automatic?

The driver is a free piece of software provided by your graphics card (or onboard crap) manufacturer which allows the graphics card to use it's full capabilities in games.

Yeah download from either Intel, nVidia or ATI, whichever you have, there are then choices to make on that site and you can get new drivers (providing your card is still supported) if not then you may have to try Omega Drivers.

Who (aside from people that have 64bit OS's) still uses any other resolution but 32bit? I mean the most basic of onboards can handle it and have been able to do so for a few years now.

I tried it today but it seems is not working. When Nds2xgl is launched it automatically takes N$gba place and no screen on the comeback. Have you written it in which language? It is probably a background invisibility bug. The joint is not what I expected. I hope I can try it on the next version.

Thanks anyway,

Metroid.

well, i have some games that require a 16bit desktop, and some others that require 32bit desktop...

so you are saying that when you run nds2xgl2 the no$gba real window "blinks" and then nothing happen? not even the window with the white texture? well i suppose that is a problem in the loader, (some antivirus/firewall software may block it (erroneous!), but i need to add more verifications (and report) errors while loading, but thkz, i will see those things...

the language is: Freebasic + Asm... and the reason for the white screen i suspect that is:
1) im using one texture (both for 16 and 32 bits) that are only valid in a well made OpenGL driver (since VBA works in OpenGL mode with M$ nvidia driver)
or....
2) is a fact that i use another method to upload the texture to the gfx card, a method that is twice as fast the normal one, but maybe this method (change part of a texture) doesnt work in the M$ driver) i will seek both cases when to fix it in the next release, thkz for all those tries and replies =)
