Best Game Main Menus

what is the best game main menu you've seen?, did it attract you to play the game or the scenery that suites you.

fo me it was MGS1

it looked like the Matrix movie

I quite liked the main menu of Crash 1, I liked looking at Crash Crash 1...(remembers that Crash 1 disc is lost atm) Good thing I have it backed up on my PC, I'd get Crash withdrawal otherwise

id have to agree with metal gear solid. besides that one though, ive always liked the simplicity and the warmth of the game menus of the final fantasy series starting with seven and including the sequels.

I like the way they did it with final fantsies too, especially VII... Just simply "new game" or "load game" and its mostly black with some small logo or like in VII the buster sword.

There's three games that came to mind:

1. Undoubtedly this has to be Point Blank. Having targets to shoot even while in the menu is simply a brilliant idea. This game is wacky beyond believe, and what better moment to start then right at the beginning?

2. Skies of Arcadia: Even the intro screen where you need to press start is worth watching. The music is great and the background dynamically changes the time of day. It's a real treat that gets you excited already. The entire treasure map style of the menu really sets the mood.

3. Jet Set Radio: A rolling demo of this beautiful cell chaded game on the background of the menu, classic.
