Having problems sharing my files on a LAN

I just reinstalled my Windows....Windows Professional SP2....I wanna share my some files of mine so a friend can copy on her laptop....I use Norton Internet Security 2007....I disable the personal firewall in Norton Internet Security 2007, I also disable Window's firewall, however, when I try to see my system from her laptop, a username/password prompt comes up on her machine which shows the username as Brenda/Guest.....Brenda is the name of my machine which has the files that I wanna share....when I try to input my system password as the password, it refuses to give me access to the files...can anyone pls tell me what to do? Thanks

*bump* Can someone pls help...I need help asap...Thanks
