HK1 Question

Ok well I was just wondering if my compy

2.01 Ghz AMD Athlon Processer
1 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT Video Card

is the reason im only getting about 40 FPS tops in KH, and mostly less than that, or also if theres anyway I can possibly speed this up.

Game is running from an ISO, priority is set to high, and most visual tweaks are off, including AA.

Configurations:

Graphics: ZeroGS
Sound: P.E.Op.S.
Cdvdrom: Linuzappz
Others: Default

Just curious cause this game would be great to play in full 60 FPS, or possibly even 50. But 40 tops is a bit weak considering most the time I cant even get past 30 well, and when it drops into the 20s I just cant stand it (this most present on Destiny Island)

So anyone think they can help me out?

Your speed is due to your CPU. Use the fast memory patch if you have not all ready, if you all ready are there really is not much you could do (You could lower the interpol quality in the sound options for another frame or two).

No I dont have the patch...But do you know an estimate of how much it might help?

Also, I can just get this directly from their site correct?

No you can get it directly from there site. Its a PCSX2 patch (For a select few games it runs faster) if you need a rough guess of how much faster it will run, try playing the game in the TLB (though it runs faster in the VM with the patch).

What version is your game?

Try to turn off other active programs, and make sure CPU is at idle before you run PCSX2. That's probably the most you can do other than the patch :/.

Um I cant seem to find the patch, and the speed is the exact same between the regular and the TLB...

Ok I did that, Ill test to see if it worked later.
Is there anyway I can force it to skip the opening cutscene, cause it cant be skipped and is long and also the sound is rather buggy...

Edit -

Tested the game, much better FPS. I get around 50-70 now, though I havent gotten to the island though if its laggy im sure Ill just bear it till I get through it, cause from what Ive read that level is rather slow regardless.

The sound should be alright, just that the speed is too slow

so the sound blocks are separated.
Hmmm, I'm not sure about the patch, but you can probably find one at the patch thread. If you have jap version, I can give you the first save point, which is on the island already (in expert mode and shield as weapon).

Yeah...

I was getting 50-70 FPS in game (Not FMV) during the tutorial level, and now in Destiny Island im getting about 20-45 FPS....Hopefully after this level it will speed up a bit.

But yeah, the sound was repeating alot during the opening FMV, but all after that havent been too bad besides speed.

wow, that is fast lol.
i have a 2.08GHz processor and it barely runs Disgaea, but thats due to my graphics card of course =P.

For me KH runs full speed most of the time even using single core only. Wish all other games will be like KH some day

Well after the Destiny Island part, im still only getting 20-40 FPS best, but I guess thats as good as im going to get...
