Have you created new directory or have you just put 1.6.0 executable in 1.5.2 directory?

try using SSSPSX or PSXeven to pass that point using Memcard saves. then switch back to ePSXe 152..

BTW if you need to convert the memory card from one type to another so other emulators can accept it
download some tools, you can find them in download section..

I see the problem now, you were using pSX and not ePSXe.

pSX 1.6 is outdated, you can download the latest version here.
If you want to continue with ePSXe then change memory card extension from .bin to .mcr, it will work.

If you have Geforce FX or higher, Radeon 9500 or higher then use Pete's OpenGL2 plugin.
For any other graphic card use Pete's OpenGL 1.76.

Then configure your video plugin like this.

btw: If you are playing the game from Cd make an ISO.

unless you have SiS integrated or Via Unichrome, which doesn't have a decent ICD at all. which you then need to use the D3D plugin
