Question PSP to PS3 savegames

Hello,
Is there a way to convert PSP PSX savegames to .psv files, so I could transfer them to a PS3?

Thanks.

There could be a way, I'm not sure...

Do you have a existing .psv save for some psx game?
If you have can you attach it here so I can see the structure?

Don't PM or ask me about VMP-MCR conversions. I will ignore you if you do.

Thanks.

The file is structured like this:
psv header (checksum, most likely).
region, product code, identifier.
save data.

Due to the checksum converting will be hard (as I don't know how it's calculated), injecting a updated save seems more possible.

Btw: I just found this info:
Quote:
Connect your PSP to your PS3 via a usb cable, then go to the game save data, select psp, find your save and press triangle copy it.
Try the method I quoted.

If it doesn't work then start a new game and make a psv save and attach it here along with the VMP you want to use.

Unfortunately I do not yet own a PS3, though I plan on getting one in the future, the PSV savegames have been downloaded online.

I've attached VMP and PSV saves of MediEvil (same release), hope it helps.

I used the data block from VMP and replaced it with the one in psv file.
It "should" work.

But anyway judging from the quote I posted above there is an easy way to use saves from PSP on PS3.

Very well, I'll try finding someone who could actually test it.

Thanks

It does Copying it to the PS3 from PSP works, as well as from PS3 to PSP, I tried both and they both work perfectly.
