I love how you just assumed it would work and purchased it before actually researching whether or not it would work w/ a Core 2 Duo. The official site says "Support Intel Pentium® Processor Extreme Edition & Intel Pentium® D Processor," which does not include Core 2 Duo, however Pentium Ds are still dual core. So, it does indeed support dual core, just not C2D.

Universal abit > Motherboard, Digital Speakers, iDome, AirPace, Multimedia

im not even the one buying the item and im more thorough in researching it than you are (really just wanted to see what it looked like so i googled...) ! well you're only 14 so you still have a lot to learn and a lot of time to do so hopefully you can cancel your order.

Don't you have to be 18 to register with eBay?

I can't help but laugh at people buying core2duos with cheap motherboards.

What is the reasoning behind such a purchasing decision? Sure you'll save some money (probably 50 dollars at most), but is the frustration, and overall poorer quality parts/features of the mobo really worth it?

You could've gotten a cheap sound card for $10...

A cheap sound card for 10$ on a board that can only handle 2 gigs of ram, very specific video cards, my new radeon 1800xt isnt compatible(and that card gives off TONS OF HEAT!!!) and have overall the worst board on the market, I'd rather have bought a new one with 8 gigs of ram (campatible) have basically every video card work, and be much faster... Which would you chose?

Plus as i said before i am picking up that board and trading my father for his unused Abit fatal1ty aa8xe.
