Please don't double post.

Please list your specs, CPU, Video Card, Sound Card, Memory, OS, etc...
No one can help you if they don't know what kind of computer you're using, for example, there are different video cards, and there are different video plug ins which will work for each video card.

You need to unzip the .dll files into your plugins folder; is that what you did?

if you downloaded from the ngemu main site, you need a program such as winrar or winzip etc to 'extract' the files into the epsxe folder for it to be recognised.

Maybe a dumb suggestion/question, so take it with a grain of salt.

Is it possible you might have multiple instances of ePSXe and the ePSXe you are loading is one that isn't updated at all? That's about the only reason I can think of that would lead to plugins just not showing up. Run ePSXe directly from the folder that the plugin folder you have updated is in.

That's about all I can come up with...

Never had ePSXe run right? You might want to read this topic.

Are you using any frontend to launch ePSXe, or a shortcut?
If yes try to browse with explorer to ePSXe's directory and start ePSXe manually.

The problem happens because ePSXe is searchig for plugins directory from the "running directory".

hmm... the answer to both questions is no, but i was using the icon pinned to the start menu. im going to delete everything and start again.

after deleting all traces of epsxe from my computer, i re downloaded it. i got my bios from my other computer, and downloaded only pete's plugins. epsxe didnt see any of them. possibly the 1.60 version has something against pete? downloading the other plugins i had earlier now.

i put the other plugins i had earlier in, and it recognized all of them! including pete's stuff! thanks for your help, and happy 4th of july! err... how do i slow down a game? i dont think the credits screen of final fantasy tactics is supposed to go at lightspeed...

That was the problem, the ePSXe was searching for the plugins directory in "C:\Docements and settings\your_username\".
Pinned programs have the same "running directory" issue i was talking about.

Shortcuts are alright to use, as long as the "Start in" directory is the right one.

Btw: I suggest that you read the config guide, you will see what plugins to use and a solution to your other question.
