Need controller help.
I am using a Xbox 360 controller on my PC, and need to know if there is anyway to be able to use the D-pad as a D-pad in PCS2X. So far the only plug-in that even lets me assign buttons and axis' to my x360 controller is LilyPad, but it will not recognize the D-Pad. Neither of the 2 defualt plug-ins will let me assign buttons to the x360 controller. Windows Control Panel -> Gaming Devices sees the x360 d-pad as a hatswitch, could this be a problem? Anybody have any ideas? Much thanks in advance! |

LilyPad should support hat switches. I've tested it with several devices with hat switches and it works with them all, though a couple people have had the same problem you're having. You could try downloading the version with the extra debug text output near the bottom of the LilyPad thread and what you get from the debug text file...Might give me a clue where to look, or might not. Would at least tell me if I'm detecting it, putting its info in an odd spot in memory, if it has a funky id I might not be handling properly, etc. Rather difficult to figure out what's going wrong with so little information when I'm unable to replicate the problem.
