PlayStation 3 SixAxis Controller & PCSX2.

I don't know if this has been done yet but well, as a new PS3 owner (not to brag) but I decided to see if the SixAxis controller would work in Windows. Turns out, it does! I was impressed because I always doubt everything and I was wrong.

Here is a Picture of the dialog and a video to show the SixAxis in PCSX2.

Enjoy.

How did I do it? I connected my PS3 controller via USB, downloaded some drivers, followed a few steps to activiate it under Windows, Configured PCSX2 to it and tada!

I use my PS2 controller on PC via USB but how about a wireless PS3 controller via Bluetooth?

That would be great.

I think the ps3 controller uses a secure bluetooth connection, unlike the wii remote which dosent use a secure conneciton allowing it to be used via bluetooth, although I might be wrong.

For the SIXAXIS under linux (sorry, no Windows afaik) using Bluetooth, check out: forums.ps2dev.org :: View topic - SIXAXIS in Bluetooth mode under Linux

Of course you could just use the included USB-USB mini B cable included with the controller...
Windows: forums.ps2dev.org :: View topic - SIXAXIS under Windows
Linux: forums.ps2dev.org :: View topic - PS3 Controller in PS3 Linux

I've been using the controller for months now, works perfectly in PCSX2 and all my PC games...

I want it to work

Hello all, I have the sixaxis controller for ps3 and I would like to use it for PC. I have found many tuts above downloading LibUSB which I have done and installed. I can see the controller in control panel... but when I try to use it for epsxe [ps1 emulator] nothing registers. I attempt to config the gamepad but nothing works. Now I have watched that YouTube clip and I know it can work for pc.

Any suggestions? Help...

Thanks
Pug

nope the ps3 controller does not support rumble, this is due to a patent infringement by sony although it has now been settled sony are planning a new controller with rumble.

secondly currently the ps3 controller cannot be connected to the pc via bluetooth.
