Medievil 2 Sound is really choppy

I have played the first Medievil ISO from start to finish with my current settings in expsxe 1.6.0 with 1 minor section the sound was choppy. However ever since I started playing Medievil 2 off cd the sound is really choppy. I am using pete's d3d driver with all the settings on high, highest resolution, etc. I have tried switching to pete's opengl and had the same result. I am using eternal sound and I tried using all the different cd-rom drivers, some made it even more choppy. I really want to play this game with all the settings on the highest it can go and the sound not choppy. I would love to get this problem fixed, the game is annoying with it like this. I also noticed that in Fear Effect, when I get to the cutscene with Jin with a bomb attached to him the scene moves to a slow crawl and it's hard to get through it. Can someone help?

I recommend you play off an iso.

and use eternal spu 1.41
and pete's 1.76 openGL.
Sapu's cd rom plugin.

Start the emulator,
select eternal spu as your sound plugin.
click configure,
make sure that the buffer is set to 15-25.
and the audio out method is set to thread.

Mount your image with daemon tools and click run cd.
If the sound is choppy turn up the buffer in the sound config.

If your game is running slow you have to sacrifice graphics for the playability you desire. So just turn down some settings and play around with the config.

I made medievil 2 into an ISO and left all the settings on high. Works like a charm! Thanks a lot. Why does EPSXE have problems running off cd?

I'm not too sure,
I think readiing off a hardrive is quicker than reading off an actual cd,
and epsxe was programmed to take advantage of that,
but I'm not too sure.
