Some tips
First tip: Use the search function of the forum. Second tip: Use Google Both methods should help you get to the ubuntuforums page where it's detailed how to compile and install PCSX2.

You even don't need to build it itself, you can download it from here http://www.pcsx2.net/files/8019. Just unpack it and run pcsx2. Does building it by myself can give any differences in speed? |

Yes well IF the binary from the site runs... If not you can always compile for yourself. Compiling for yourself can give you a speed boost. (but it's usually only a minor one)
