Which of the next-gen consoles are you going to buy and why?

For me, I probably choose PS3 if I have the cash, eventhough it's expensive as of now I might as well wait for it to lower it's price a year or so. When that time comes, a wide variety of good games will become available and exclusives too(MGS4,FF13 and etc). And ofcourse PS3 has enough power for future gaming assurance because of it's technical advantage. Well, that's my opinion.

I would buy the xbox 360 because some ps3 games are comming out for it,
its cheaper, its got bioshock and halo 3. Nothing beat the live experience (except PC games of course)

Plus theres an 'elite' version comming out

i would be looking into ps3 nest year coz i fear that even after having a great start wii and xbox360 will go down like gc and xbox

I don't know why people keep coming out with this line. The GC and Xbox were both more powerful than the PS2 (considerably more so in the Xbox's case), and in the long run it made almost no difference. The PS2 won out on the strength of its games, not on its specs. Not to mention having a headstart over the competition. What makes people think this gen's going to be any different?

dreamcast went dead too early otherwise it would have kicked ps2 ass

The DC could easily have gone the distance if Sega hadn't screwed up their marketing so badly. At the end, they just didn't have enough money to see it through anymore. Sony's outright lies about the then-upcoming PS2 didn't help either (remember all the promises they made at E3 back then, and all the 'target renders' supposedly from upcoming games?).

Of course this gen they went and done exactly the same thing, although this time people weren't so eager to buy it.

I voted PS3 because when the price hits a level which I feel represents good value for money I will buy one.
Also the fact my little bro gave me his 360 when he joined the army.
