Null dc has encounterd error

ok im trying to play sonic 2 right but i set it up and the box comes up Null dc has encounterd and error blah blah blah and so on. it worked for me before what could it be?

and it only happens in the nulldc plugin and the chankast ugly as hell, im running a

pentium 4 3.2ghz
1.5 gigs of ram
Video is onboard so it sucks may that be the problem?

Just use the Chankast plugin. I usually have crashes using the nullDC default plugin for some reason...maybe it's my GeForce MX card. Your GFX card's the problem, and by that I mean it's too weak to use the nullDC plugin.
