Memory allocation error
yet again im having more problems running pcsx2. i never had this problem when i ued to use xp, but now that ive dual booted, ive re-installed xp specifically for the emulator, but im getting this error message: ![]() ive locked pages in memory in the administrative settings in the control panel, but still no luck. can anyone tell me why this peculiar error is happening? im running xp professional 64 athlon 64 400+ 2 x geforce 6600 sli 1024 mb ddr ram nvidia raid stripe type 0 @ 330 gb |

do you have a lot of programs running in the background? try to shut down as many background/systray programs as you can and make sure nothing is running, that should enable it to reserve the memory space.

There is a registry setting to give the current user the right to re-allocate extra mem; this only happens when using VM build of course. Delete the registry setting for pcsx2 in registry then run the program again, it will ask you if you want to grant the current user access to do the above..... Pfew..

Easier to close other programs in the "backstage" then manipulateing with registry entries. If he's not enough experienced he can shut down his PC and then Good Bye. Close many programs; and if that doesn't help, Log out and then back to the Win. That must solve your Problem.

OR google a program called "Enditall" very useful for closing all but the required backround process's
