ePSXe, PSXeven, or SSSPSX.

It also depends on what controller you're using and the drivers. Personally, with a 360 controller, I can only get rumble working with Harakiri's plugin in PCSX.

What's the error?

By the way, does that PSX adapter even support rumble? I've had two PSX/USB adapters and I couldn't get rumble working on either of them.

I too am trying to go back to the classic MGS (and MGS VR Missions). I can get it running in several emu's, but no matter what I do I CANNOT get analog to work! So basically, no matter how light or hard I press on the d-pad or analog sticks, Snake always runs around with his loud ass footsteps waking guards up! Has anyone been able to get analog to work properly in this game? I have tried about 5 controller plugins, have tried epsxe, psxeven, ssspsx, and just plain PSX emulators...I was trying this with a USB adapter for my wireless Logitech PlayStation2 controller, but today I went out and bought a Logitech Rumblepad2, AND an XBOX360 controller with the USB adapter...NO JOY!

Whats even stranger is that if I press triangle and go into first person view, the camera moves around in analog mode, so I can move the camera slow or fast depending on how far I push the left analog...but still Snake runs everywhere in 3rd person view! I get this same behavior on all of the controllers I mentioned above.

Please help me get my MGS on!!!

Finally I could make work the force feedback with the pcsx emu.

the game runs well, but the analogs just works in first person mode :S

I was thinking that the game was done this way.

I use the 360 controller also and the vibration works for me with that plugin in PSXeven. Never used PCSX though.

And sublimnl, I think you have to crawl around on Snakes Belly in MGS 1 to stay quiet. Atleast thats how it was in the demo.

Using this profile with a 360 controller and XBCD drivers I am able to get force feedback and full dual shock setup ( both analogs ) for every game using ePSXe.

Copy and paste this into notepad, go to file -> save and change save as type to "all files" and name it psx.xgi ( file name doesn't matter just make the extension.xgi ) and then load it up with XBCD setup ( open in the lower left hand corner ) and apply the profile. In ePSXe choose Rumble Type as DXJoy1.. set Big Motor to constant and Small Motor to sine. Should work as long as you set everything up right.
