CONFIGURATION Setup, Help Please!
Ok, I downloaded a new PCSX2 and I am able to run FFX! But the problem is speed. I only get 15-20fps. ===== Here's my Config: USA v02.00(14/06/2004) Console GSdx9 (MSVC 14.00, SSE2) 0.9.0 *I get lower fps even from loading when I use the ZeroGS SSE2 0.93.0 SSSPSX PAD Plugin 1.6.0 P.E.Op.S. CDVD Driver 1.2.0 USBnull Driver 0.4.0 P.E.Op.S. SPU2 DSound Driver 1.4.0 DEV9null Driver 0.3.0 FWnull Driver 0.4.0 ===== Here's my Graphics Config: Resolution: Windowed Renderer: Direct3D Shader: Pixel Shader 2.0 Unchecked - Enable palettized textures (D3D PS v2.0+, slow) Unchecked - Linear texture filtering Unchecked - Enable tv-out Checked - NLOOP 0 hack (fixes FFX) Unchecked - Record state ===== Here's my CPU Config: ASUS 16x16 DVD+R Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4Ghz Inno3D 7300GT PCIE DDR3 256MB/128bit 1Gig DDR2 PC800 Features: MMX,SSE,SSE2,x84-64 Unselected - Interpreter - Slowest but the most compatible (doesn't work) Unselected - Recompiler (eerec) - Lotta faster than Interpreter Selected - Recompiler+VuRecs (vurec) - The fastest compiler (Needs SSe/2) Unchecked - Multi thread GS mode (MTGS) (Experimental) (faster on dual core/HT procs, requires pcsx2 restart) Unchecked - Dual Core (DC) - only valid with MTGS (Experimental) Unchecked - Frame Limit (FL) - limits speed to normal speeds Unchecked - Sync IPU (SIPU) - higher compay IPU mode (slower) One more question, in any case that I will be using an ISO. How can I make an image of the game? What software am I going to use? And lastly, supposed I have an ISO, how do I load it in the PCSX2 Emulator? Thanx a lot, spare me for knowing nothing.. |

Check MTGS and Dual Core mode under CPU settings, and switch graphic plugin to ZeroGS Kosmos (i think that 0.96 is the current version, update yours). Report back the differences ![]() EDIT: also, if you see weird graphics with ZeroGS, try pressing F9 to switch on the FFX Hack (it should trigger automatically, though) |

That's not pcsx2 0.9.2. It's 0.9.1 (see CPU options). Also you're using gsdx. FFX runs much better with zero's plugin. Get the latest PCSX2 version. For FFX use "ZeroGS KOSMOS 0.96.0" as GFX plugin. Use PEOpS for sound and CD/DVD. Enable all CPU options (except frame limiter). And disable patches. Last edited by Hatman; January 17th, 2007 at 08:52.. |

You can do image of a disc in a numeber of ways i.e. using linuzapps CDVD plugin (go to plugin's configuration and there's Get Disc) but actually I made my image simply with Nero so I guess any burning software can do that and for me it was really faster doing it this way.

You got the hardware (E6600) but not the intelligent to use it...Ever wonder why there's a CONFIGURATIONS GUIDE?
