^Btw you should try watching madoka, even if you dislike the mahou shoujou genre you will like this and not regret it, after ep 3 things get really interesting.

PS: when i said i wanted to escape from him i meant Fate/zero (not that i wouldn't enjoy ataraxia without him), i pretty much guess his in fate/zero but probably just for a little bit judging by the bits of his past i saw in the main series.

Does anyone here like Detroit Metal City? I'd like to know if there are more than 12 episodes.

ufotable has not done a lot of stuff, but some of what they've done is really good. There's also Manabi straight, which is a very interesting school life work, and the favorite series of some people I know.

BTW the ending for Madoka is also by Kalafina, for those who care (won't stop promoting it till everyone on this thread has seen it )
Ahh, Kara No Kyoukai was freaking epic... Made me also a fan of Kalafina, damn their singing is eerie and gives this strange feeling while listening to it. And, yes I'm complimenting it by saying that it's eerie...

The (Gakuen Utopia) Manabi Straight was also pretty good, although I wouldn't really say it's my top slice of life anime but I did enjoy it very much. I also liked the not so utopistic future it depicted despite it was named "utopia".

I do! The most awesome heavy metal themed animation I have seen! And no, sadly it's only 12 episodes... There is however a live action movie, but the mere preview picture... Ehhh... Do not want...

Detroit Metal City (live-action movie) - Anime News Network

Also the manga is still ongoing, I guess... Haven't checked it recently, but it did go longer than what the anime showed.

Finished Gundam 00 Season 2 finally...it was quite..bad, somehow, I can't explain it.

Perhaps it's that it feels too short to me, so much stuff is skipped or goes unsaid.
And also the Gundam universe has always been real. Sure there are crazy lasers and beams and other insane actions...but it was always just tech, sure super advanced Sci Fi level tech, but it was still all just tech. The SEED ability almost ruined this, but it can just be chalked up as a graphical representation of the it factor that great combatants have that allows them to make better decisions than the other guy.

00 however is different, it's abilities and powers transcend plain tech and reach the point where it's basically just a Gundam going up another Super Saiyan level.

Season 1 was ok and just about good...but season 2 just plain lost it. Balance died, communication died, continuity died and the show as a consequence died. It had potential to surpass WING and SEED (+Destiny) but now it instead ranks far below them.

Anyways onto Shana S2 in earnest now.

Haven't seen World God Only Knows 2(as I haven't seen the first I decided not to start it) but the others are fun, although Nichijou goes beyond weird at times, that deer one was one of the almost "normal" things... Also, too bad the episodes in Hen Zemi and Azazel are only 12 minutes long...

Baccano is just awesome... I liked it much more than Durarara!!! Also, there aren't that many anime with 1920's or 1930's US pictured, at least I haven't seen that many... Off the hat I remember only Chrono Crusade(I refuse to write it "correctly"!) that did it.

I think I'm going to enjoy deadman wonderland.

Definitely my type of anime going by the first 2 episodes

Mixed feelings about the opening.

Nice animation in the opening.....but that song.

Atomically Emo.

I really hope the deadman wonderland anime stays faithful to the manga......there really is no excuse with the amount of material available.

Finished Gundam Wing and the Endless Waltz... Well, wasn't horrible but it kinda got tedious in the middle. Also as the characters were kinda empty and seemed to be like "NOOOO! He's DEAD!!! ... ... Okay, off to the next mission!" I couldn't really relate to any of them.

Well, I might watch SEED too as my summer vacation started last week and I once again have no job for the summer I kinda have the time for it. Going home for the weekend though and I have to retake an exam next week so maybe after that...

------------

Anybody else seen Koe De Oshigoto!, only two OVA's(?) out so far, the second one came out just a while ago... I guess you could say it's semi hentai(especially the second episode) about a high school girl who gets forced to become a H-game voice actor by her big sister who makes them... Just asking as it's freaking hilarious.

Gundam SEED and SEED: Destiny focuses more on drama especially SEED: Destiny. I recommend watching those if you are seeking for a more character substance.

Yup character wise SEED was impressive so impressive that it overshadows the mech part of the show. That together with the Yuki Kajiura music themes builds up a great atmosphere and the story is also pretty rad, but can be a bit complicated.

Yeah, that series is a blast.

If you don't have anything next on your queue I reiterate my Cross Game suggestion.

Seirokai Yakuindomo OVA was very good I hope it gets a 2nd season.

In other news I'm going to the Hatsune Miku concert at anime expo this july, best $15 I've spent in awhile well besides the $50 for a 1 day pass...price goes up each year.......
