Not entirely. Previously, Aizen's twists have revolved mainly around manipulating the settings and characters other than the main character. This is pretty much the first time Aizen's twists have been directly about Ichigo alone.

Spoiler:
Well, he essentially forced Ichigo to go to Heuco Mundo to rescue Orihime, but this was mainly to get more Shinigami to follow him in the rescue-turned-assault, thus reducing the amount of Shinigami in the Battle of Fake Kurakara Town, rather than being solely and directly about Ichigo.

Ah well, at least we're getting action. It's better than people sitting around talking about plot. Or action which isn't worth watching. Like in the current Bleach anime episodes.

Watching Kanon 2006. I did not like the mikoto arc....it tended to drag. The emotion was overdone, I think... But wow, the Mai arc is really starting to get things moving.

Regarding big battle with lots of character, current One Piece arc has to be one of the most epic war in manga history.

Mikoto? Are you talking about Railgun?

I think you meant Makoto, personally I like her arc best...

Watching D.N.Angel...up to ep2 and it seems lame...some kid who turns into a bad guy who's a good guy who's a bad guy by the looks of things and his competition in thievery is a good guy who's actually a bad guy...seems crap so far but perhaps it will get better.

It really won't, Schumi. I would recommend that you ditch the anime and read the manga that it's based on. The manga is great. The anime just doesn't do it justice at all sadly.

I used to think Air as one of the most beautiful anime ever made. I watched the intro animation again recently, and was aghast at the character design. I mean, actually couldn't stand it at all. Wow.

So I'm pretty much scared to try seeing Kanon ever again. Probably will puke at those ridiculously disproportioned faces. Uguuu~ T_T

Funny how your taste changes with the times, even with anime.

Noja: Hey, what anime is that from? That scene was really well animated. :O

@Djinerr:
Try watching Kanon in full HD format, maybe it'll redeem itself... or making it worse.

And I'm surprised you didn't know Kannagi, it was rather famous back then for it was directed by the same person who made the first Haruhi ending choreography.

yeah, she said she was going to take a full year of rest. That was last year. If she fully recovers im guessing we will see news of a second season at the end of this year. She seems to be recovering pretty well so far ^^

Have you read the manga Strike? I read most of the manga and then saw the anime. I think if I didn't read the manga and just went with the anime, that my opinion wouldn't be so harsh. :[

Lol. I see. You should try to read a chapter of D.N.Angel if you can one time. Sometimes animes outshine the mangas, but it's the opposite case for this one.

Depends on the series for me. Take Rave for example, I prefer the manga to the anime, but for Eureka Seven, the anime is far better imho
