cant get to O/C my processor!!

i have a soyo mobo, and the manual says it supports k6-2 550
so i tried to O/C a little, just 50MHz.
the first time i tried, th epost worked okay, after the memory counting, and the IDE detecting, it said PCI device listing
but i have NO PCI card in my pc
i changed it back to 500- throu dipswitch -
it worked okay
then i tried again, this time i only got a black screen
whats that???
