Thumbs up A new g/f for christmas

Ok, I know it's not Christmas yet, but hey, it's close enough. At the time of posting it's about 3 hours into Christmas eve, and I've already gotten a great present so far, a new g/f (who needs a Playstation 3, Xbox 360 or a Wii now?). It's definetly one event that caught me off guard because I was thinking my Christmas was gonna suck because I've almost nothing but myself lately (not that I don't mind being alone). But now, I could care less what else I get. Anyway, I'm glad I got someone I can relate to in one way or the other.

Other pre-Christmas miracles that happened in the past 3 hours...

1. Yesterday, my old, beat up bike's chain rusted out and broke off yesterday. It was only my transportation to work since I usually work 11PM to 7AM at a Boyd Gaming casino, there's no bus to catch, or anyone to give me a ride ever since my car got toasted back in early September, 4 weeks after I bought the thing! So I had to walk/run to work and get there on time, and I almost didn't make it. Anyway, the lead chef in the buffet and the director of the food and beverage department caught wind of what happened to my old bike, and got me a new one! Now that shocked the heck out of me. It rides alot better than my old one too Now I can get to work on time!

2. It looks like I'll get to see my first Christmas without snow! And that's a miracle in itself because every winter we get waist deep in snow. To me this is great because I hate snow, and I hate being cold. Snow isn't the reason for the season.

3. I was totally convinced that I was too old to enjoy Christmas like I did years ago, but today has changed that.

Sorry for yet another crappy post by yours truly, but I'm just glad things are looking up for a change.

Aah afcourse a GF beats the crap out of a Wii and PS3. I would rather have a GF to even if it doesn't last as long as a PS3.

And guess this is your lucky Christmas. I hope to be this lucky someday to.
And unlike you, i do hope for snow during Christmas. But it most likely wont happen. I always hope for a white Christmas... Since it doesn't snow very often in Holland, more like almost never.

But i guess i should just cherish the things i do have instead of complain about the things i don't have. And just be happy, consider there are tons of people who has to do it with almost nothing during Christmas.

I would still prefer a PS3 over a girlfriend anyday. I've had my fair share of puntang to last me a lifetime anyway. Hell, setup a meeting with me and the devil, give me a pen, and tell me where to sign. I really want a PS3 and MGS4.

1. That's great to hear. It's good to know that there's still people who aren't selfish and willing to give to others nowadays. You should have told them that your car was stolen instead though .

2. It's been at least 15 years since I've seen a white Christmas. I've given up a long time ago.

I'm happy as hell anyways. I got a Gamecube with RE Remake, RE0, RE4, and Lego Star Wars 2. I'm pretty much booked for my winter vacation. Anyways, happy holidays to you and everyone else on the forums .

As long as you get to unwrap her on Christmas Day, then I'd say it's a good present.

/continues the mindless PS3 bashing

The PS3 is the first console that might be more expensive than a GF

Anyway, congrats man. Hope you have a great christmas with your girl, and get us some pictures will you? I kinda feel like being in your situation, with hardly any busses going through my town and a bike ride being too far in the early morning. Damned privatized bus companies.

I don't think so. If it did, it was probably flurries and that's it. Of course we've had snow around here in previous years but not around Christmas time IIRC. How come it feels like spring around here today? Isn't it supposed to be winter? It must be that goddamn global warming that Al Gore is always talking about.

I know, Christmas sucks when it's raining. Didn't it rain here last year too?
