I am hoping that someone can help me out with this. I tried to load GTA 3 from the DVD (using the proper plugins). I got through the intro screne and the initial loading screne, but then it freezes on me. The Ps2 output box tells me that it cant find a file on the game DVD itself: MAIN.SCM. I looked for the file myself and found the file in question on the DVD, exactly where it was supposed to be.

I then tried making an iso out of the DVD, ran it, and got the exact same message at the exact same point. Please help me out.

same problem here.
what version do you have? NTSC USA?

if by version you mean GTA 3 version, it is just the original GTA 3, not vice city or otherwise.

if by version you mean pcsx2 version, i have the most recent one: 0.9.2 for windows XP Pro.

i have the same problem with my German Platinum GTA3.

i have the USA version SLUS 20062......and i just realized that it is orange on the computability list, so it shouldn't work too well anyway. I love it when i make n00b mistakes
