Resident Evil 4 - I must be doing something wrong.

Ok, I've been playing with this game since .91 but anyway since .92 came out I finally got to finish up the loose ends and open up the extras menu. I beat the side missions and the normal screens appear like, you may now use the handcannon in the regular game etc. So, I start up a regular game, and nothing is available when I get to the merchant, the easiest way to check is to run Seperate Ways and wait for the chicken to jump from the roof for the insignia key. Thats the closest merchant in the entire game. Anyways, If I did this correctly, there are no Handcannons, no Chicago Typewriters, none of it, please someone tell me what I am doing wrong. The ONLY thing I can think of is that the items are only available IMMEDIATELY after the requirements are met. If the save state is necessary e-mail me eighth_reich@yahoo.com and we can figure a way out of sending it its too large to post.

Yep, I think Fr6nk3nst31n is right, when you enable those bonus features, you need to save a game to a memory card, which unfortunately PCSX2 can't do right in Resident Evil 4. Which means they won't work.....
