game not responding

ok this is a problem i'm having, i tried both FFX and tales of the abyss and both of them encountered this problem. I'm posting here since i can't find any solution to this anywhere on the forum.

i'm using PCSX2 0.9.2 and the games above are playable so shouldn't be game problem.

It is perfectly fine in the menu option where you click on new game, load game etc, however, one it gets ingame, the problem starts, for FFX, the intro will not move on after Tidus standing on the cliff, but after sometime like half an hour i managed to pass it, probably just a loop, however, after that in-game, no matter what button i press there will be no response, even though everything else is moving on as normal (like the character's animation etc).

For tales of abyss, everything is fine as well, but whenever i get into the menu, no matter what button i press there will be no response, and i can't get out of the menu either because of this, and this shouldn't be a loop since the time shown in the menu is still continuing.

shouldn't really be controller problem since the controls do work in starting menu etc.

this is my hardware:
pentium core 2 duo 1.66gh T5500
1GB DDR2 RAM
ATI mobility radeon x1600 512mb video memory

and yes i turned on the duo core functions etc for cpu.

plug in used:
ZeroGS KOSMOS 0.96.0
P.E.Op.s.spu2 dsounddriver 1.6.0
SSSPSX PAD Plugin 1.7.0
linuzappz iso cdvd driver 0.5.0
USA v0.200 bios (tried for 0.1600 US bios and europe bios and doesn't work as well)

anyone know what could be the problem?

there are more than one way to get bios, but as the rule says, this is not the place to say how or where
