Finally, Castlevania...

Hi to all, I have searched any post about any of the two Castlevania titles and I haven't seen any with important info. Well, Im so glad with the emu progress and I wanted to share that I just finished Castlevania: Lament of Innocence a few days ago and I can say that I only had 2 major issues: Doppleganger.

My PC specs can be seen in my profile, and for the emu config:

PCSX2 VM build
ZeroGSKOSMOS 0.96.0 - Everything off (Interlace and Bilinear)
P.E.Op.S SPU2 Dsound Driver 1.6.0 - No reverb, Simple interpolation
SSSPSX PAD Plugin 1.7.0
P.E.Op S. CDVD Driver 1.2.0

USA v01.10(02/09/2000) BIOS

As you can imagine, In-game (battles, bosses) I was ranging from 10 - 35 fps, it get quite slow with blurryness and sparkling SFX. Like I said I had no crashes until I got with Doppleganger, one on each time you fight him (Waterfall Palace and Moonlight Pagoda). Thought I wasn't going any further, so I just tried turning off all recompilers (EE, both VU) to get past on the boss intro sequence and I was able to save a state barely starting the battle (cause without recompilers I got like 3-5 fps), all this done, I just loaded the savestate with recompilers on continued with no other problem. I don't know if other ppl have this issue too, but I just guessed that maybe it was an EE rec. issue so, I hope this little tip can help you. Although I know I don't have a nice fps I found the game enjoyable for what it offers, and cause GFX are almost perfect, some little glitchy textures and just like 18% of missing textures or geometry. I just started Curse of Darkness and, for me its just a little more slow (like 2-5 fps less than LoI) haven't any crash until now, only "funny" thing was I found an Armor Knight with endless life! Surely it got a lot of damage from a gunner chair and didnt died, all I needed to do was just to re-enter the room and, voila. Thats quite a weird bug if you ask me, wonder if any of you have found something like this. Well, hope you reply your experiences with any Castlevania and share your issues and possible solutions to others. Thanks for your attention.

I'm trying to play Lament of Innocence. When the game starts it plays a video with a guy talking. The words start with "In an era long past...". The sound of the voice is very choppy and the video is about 19 fps in the taskbar. Is my system too slow?

P4 2.8E GHz
9800 PRO 256MB
1GB RAM

I'm running it off a DVD disc, no ISO

It sounds like the sound is skipping like a CD does
