FFX Error @ Sanubia Desert

Hello~

First of all, I'd like to congratulate on the 'staff' of the PCSX2 for their hard work on the emulator. I hope your progress into fixing bugs here and there are going fine.

Onto my problem, I've been getting an error @ Sanubia Desert, running the International version of FFX. It happened right after getting Rikku and moving up to the next map (Sanubia Desert - Central). Once I'm at that field, I started moving forward, with Rikku following me. The moment I encounter a battle, I get an error and the emulator shuts down on me. Thus, this prevents me from going further into the game.

I've attached the cmd window on this thread, but I'm not sure if it will help...

I'm not sure what the problem is though, but if you can solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yes, my PCSX2 config. is:

- ZeroGS KOSMOS 0.96.0 (Running @ SSE2, Interface Enabled, No Bilinear Filtering, No AA)
- EERec checked, both VU Recompilers checked, VU Skip

If you want my computer (actually, laptop) specs, then...

- Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.86Ghz [Centrino]
- 1024MB RAM
- ATI Mobility Radeon X300

If you need more information, then I will provide them.

P.S.: I was thinking of a using a cheat on having no encounters, but I'm not sure if there is one...I'm not sure how to use a cheat, so if anyone can tell me the code, it might work.

Thanks~

What do you mean by the FFX patch? If you mean about user made patches, then they don't work...

Especially when my FFX is international version, finding cheats for it seems to be difficult...

If you mean the general auto-detect FFX patch, it's turned on.

hmm..i'm past the sanubia desert..i never had any issues. I have been in sanubia with and without encounters on. Your best bet is make a piece of armor that has no encounter on it. good luck.

Indeed, that's odd...

I tried looking for way in getting purifying salts to customize an armor with no encounters. Sadly, there aren't any monsters that drops purifying salts until later in the game...

The only way to get it is by cheats, but finding cheats for FFX International Version is super hard, especially Codebreaker cheats.

I figured out the problem~

The game was from my friend's, and he said the disk is a little corrupted when I'm @ the desert area. Darn, I should have tried it on my PS2 first, lol...

Sure, I'm interested~ I have to get along with using cheat codes these days for specific reasons, lol...

Can FFX International game saves be used with FFX USA version?
