why? the concept is the same. i plan on outputting the emulaotr from a laptop with s video out which is basically the same thing. pc pass through tv. ps2 pass through tv.

Well, first, the GunCon isn't emulated yet. 2nd it's a whole new ballgame for emulation. I'm not that knowledgable about emulator programming (Haven't tried it.) but I think it will be a nightmare because of the difference between TV's as well as monitors. There is a reason game guns are rare in PC gaming.

Not yet possible. StriderVM, you are most correct when you say that the reason is that the GunCon2 isn't emulated yet. Everything else is possible. Check here: GunCon2PC Driver |

Before getting into other reasons of why it could or could not work I would like to point out that the GunCon 2 uses the playstations USB port, which at the current moment there is no support for (IE no plugins have been written for it) And it is nowhere near the top of the list of things to do, so if it ever did work, it would be a while off. Also skid even with the driver the device and pcsx2 still could not interact (Read why above).

Sorry to prove you wrong
I hate to tell ya, but the guncon will work on the setup he is talking about. First you do need a tv not a monitor, the monitors refresh rate is too high. Second, you need the program wingun. You also need a videocard with a composite video input or s-video input with a composite adaptor. This works perfectly, but the only issue is that no one has wrote a drive for a guncon to work on the ps2 emulator. Using this setup though, it is fairly easy to take the mame driver for this setup and make it compatible with ps2 emulators. But yes it will work and has been proven to work with mame games like area 51.

Well, alright, thanks for the info. But I don't think GunCon emulation will work be worked on for a long time.... Since they are focusing on compability first then speed later.
