what is dumping the bios actually mean? does it means copying the bios or transferring the bios like Cut-Paste in windows?

what possible scenarios might happen while im dumping bios from my ps2? will my console break if interrupted in the middle of dumping the bios? things like that. after dumping the bios will my ps2 be unusable?

Forgive me, the noob, for asking so many quesions

Theres no real point to doing it presently though as you dont really get any advantages out of it (yet).

Advantages or not, you're legally required to if you even want to USE PCSX2.

Downloading BIOSes is a no-no.

Effect? No effet, you're just copying it over, not cutting it.

And no, dump it yourself. It's against board rules, and you just broke one of them.

Not at all. I was referring to the extra advantages that will come into affect later on, when the bios changes come into affect with the emulator, which a redump of the bios will be needed for.
