Vib Ribbon - small-ish problem with CDs

Hi, I've got pSX working on my PC now, it generally seems to work fine, and Vib Ribbon works on it, but there seems to be a kind of bug where when you put a music CD in (emulation style of course), it reads it as having one less track than it actually does. For example, I'll put a CD with 12 tracks in, Vib Ribbon will think it only has 11, and if I want track 10 I have to select track 9. This obviously also means you can't play the opening track on any CD. Not sure what happens when you put a CD with only one track in. Is this something to do with my CD Rom Drivers? Anyone know a fix for this? I've also noticed that the arced line in the background that shows you how far through the track you are is missing, which implies that the game doesn't know how long the track is.

It is a known problem, AFAIK there is no solution to fix that issue.

Yeah, it's a bummer. I can't play Vib Ribbon and listen to Stinkfist

Can't you make a compilation backup of your cd and just insert a dummy track as the first track so the first song will play?

That's a good idea, but also a major hassle for someone like me who has hundereds of CDs... I might just have to go back to my old playstation after all.

Or just not listen to the first track. I had to get over it when I played, oh well.

Well... it's really not always that simple. I've noticed that many times, the first track on the CD is one of the better tracks. Sometimes the best track.

@liquidcow: pSX Author hasn't had any problems getting the music CD's to work perfectly fine with the game. Here is exactly how he does it:

- Boot Vib Ribbon.
- Select the "Play with own CD" option.
- Select File/Eject CD.
- Select File/Insert CD Drive.
- Select your CD drive.

Possibly you're already doing this. But I brought it up anyway, because to be honest... *nobody* on the official forums who has played the game has mentioned having this kind of problem (and they're, of course, doing it the way just mentioned), so maybe it's just as simple as that. :/

Maybe it's some sort of drive problem. I tried mounting an audio CD (wav + cue) on a virtual drive, and I put a CD in my CD drive, and I got that glitch. I didn't try my DVDRW drive though.
