Fire Red - "Please exchange the backup memory"

Yes, I know this question was asked before, but my case is pretty different.
I beat Pokemon Fire Red to the Elite 4 while saving only by Shift + F?, But now I got to the Elite 4 and I have to save the game to continue.
I patched my game and now I can save only after starting a new one.
I got pretty rare pokemons, and I don't want to lose them (Shiny Nidoking without cheating(!!!)).
My question is how do I save the game with the "Built in Save" Without restarting it?

VBA Version: 1.7.2
