I need help saving on epsxe!

i dont know how to save properly on my espxe. i configured all the plugins correctly, then popped in legend of dragoon. i played for a lil bit then tried saving to one of the five slots. i saved, and to see if it worked i presed load and it worked. so i exited out of espxe, then about an 10 min later i went back to play the game. i booted it up, then tried to hit load, and there was no file in the save state slot one. so then i thought they must only be temporary, and once you exit the emulater they go away, so i then tried saving like you normaly would in game to a memory card. it said it saved, so i exited out of epsxe. I then restarted it, poped in legend of dragoon, went to the title menu and hit load game, but it said there was no file on my memory card. So could someone plz tell me what im doing wrong, do i need to download something and save it into the memory card file?

ps. when i click run cd rom the log thing says the following:
* Running epsxe emulator version 1.6.0.
* Memory handlers init.
* epsxe: psx bios loaded [bios\scph1001.bin].
* Doing init. Gpu [0]...
* Gpu open [0]...
* direct input init ok.
* doing spu init...
* spu open...
* Warning: the memcard [C:\documents and settings\owner.coco\my documents\ps\memcards\epsxe000.mcr] has not been saved to disk

Hello cokes and welcome to Ngemu forums.
Have you created memory cards? If not you can create them with the ePSXeCutor frontend.(see the readme for the use).You can also see this.

Actually ePSXe create memorycard by default (and when you enter the name of the memory card that doesn't exist).

Make sure that memcards folder is not set to read-only.
