Aww wheres the love yelo. Even after all those times in IRC we had! Heres another game I've been playing. Chronicles of Narnia. its definately a console port. Playing with a keyboard is just not practical. Dont even bother unless you have a gamepad. It even has the PS2/((or Xbox360)) control button icons. It kinda plays like a Mario/Secret of mana hybrid. Having fun so far even though its a simple game. 1400x1050 @ 16xAA/16xAF 4x Transparency Multismpling ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 16xQ/16xAF @ 1400x1050 I admit I lost interest though, Game wasnt all that exciting for me ![]() ![]()

Really good screens, I posted in the ATI vs NVIDIA poll about this release too... I guess it's very easy to have a leader right now though. That card is amazing... they took all the stuff that was great about ATI cards.. and made it better and they kept the parts that was good about NVIDIA cards.BTW ChrisRay on your IQ investigation I would like to see better screenshot comparassions.

Hmm? I had 4 different games with AA comparisons ranging from 4xAA to 16xQ with lossless PNG compression. Theres over 40 screenshots in my investigation :S. Or are you missing the links because I dont have them clearly underlined in the article? Someone has complained about that to me once. Alot of my comparisons were used to highlight both limitations and strengths of the coverage sample AA. Chris

With better I mean for example like gamespot does it. The way you have it there's just a popup with the screenshot, and it's very large it doesn't exactly make it easy to compare two screens. Instead how about for example, having a picture that when you move the mouse over it is replaced by the picture with AA and HDR in reference to each other or at least to the original picture. Imho this is a much easier way to compare, and if someone doesn't like it you can always have the links to the separate images too. You do it quite well when you present the smaller pictures side by side though, with the shadow samples, and the zoomed comparasion is okay too.

Well javascripting is not my specialty :P so thats not really likely with my web design expertise. I use pretty basic html when designing my articles. I did do a few blow ups but thats to compare very specific issues which was my intention. ((such as stencil shadowing and small triangle objects))What you are asking is not likely to show up in my investigations simply because I lack the expertise in web design too do it and I'm not making any money from the articles I do. Just to give you an idea I have had the Geforce 8800GTX since mid October and its taken me 2 and half weeks to research the AA routine of the G80. Then make sense of that research and then of course finally write about it. I find its better to give an overall comparison and point people to where to look and let them decide. If people dont know exactly what to look for I may give up a zoomed in screenshot ((like I did with a few comparisons)). Anyway. I admit I am more about content than presentation when I do my investigative work as presentation is not my strong point. I tend to assume most people will use tabbing to compare certain screenshots side by side which is why I have them popup in the fashion they do. Should work for either FireFox or IE7/IE6. Anyway I appreciate the constructive criticism. But I do this all by myself with no help from anyone so its hard for me to do things that are comparative in presentation to websites with larger staff and more experience in web design. Chris

Very nice screens, but would you say the 8800 is worth the money, I mean I plan to wait for some better DX10 cards down the line for the vista release. I almost forgot to mention they have recalled over 20,000 Geforce 8800GTX due to manufacturing defect due to a resistor controlling 2D/3D switching and that leads to 3D corruption. It doesn't effect the 8800GTS, only the GTX.

Which trees? what exactly am I looking at? Which screenshot? ^^The trees in this thread were done in transparency multisampling which will slightly blur the edges around alpha textures.
