I dont want to use the keyboard as the controller!?

how can i input my gaming controller into this thing. I try to configure it but when it says to push the buttons for that key it doesnt do anything. Apparently it doesnt even detect my controller at all. How can i get it to work? And who would want to use a key board to play playstation games anyways? Thats dumb..

You ensured the controller is properly detected in Windows?
Try using a different controller plugin like harikiri's.
